Round 7 ITP QuadCross

Round 7 of the ITP QuadCross was back at LACR. A track that is normally well groomed, was very dry, rough, and rutted due to the high winds and heat. It made it almost impossible to keep water on the track.

Kory Ellis races the ITP QuadCross in between flying back east and usually dominates the pro class. Unfortunetly today that was not the case. Stay tuned for more highlights.

Danny Ragon holeshoted the pro class in the first moto, but by the second corner Kory Ellis was out in front Unfortunetly that did last long. Kory Ellis jumped a step up to a table , and made it. Unfortunetly When he came down the impact was two hard and his axle snapped in half. Taking him out in the first 15 seconds of the moto.

Dustin Nelson was now leading the race.

Jeremy Schell was running in second place.

Darrel Patton was running in third place right behind Jeremy.

The track was either way to wet or way to dry.

What are the chance of 3 pro's pulling their tear offs at the same exact time in the same exact spot.

7th, 8th and 9th spot. Most of the quads were covered in mud and you couldnt read their numbers.

Dustin Nelson took the win for the first moto and Jeremy Schell took second place.

Darrel Patton took 3rd for the first moto.

Kory Ellis grabbed the holeshot for the second moto.

Kory Ellis managed to get past the jump that he broke on in the first moto.

# 81 David Lindsay was running in second place with Dustin Nelson running in third.

Dustin Nelson with Sage Baker from Redding CA (about 10 hours away) was running in teh 4th position.

#56 Jeff Spooner running in 5th with Darrel Patton running in 6th and Jeremy Schell running running in 7th.

On the 5th lap, Kory Ellis still had the lead with 14 seconds ahead of Dustin Nelson who was running in 2nd place.

Darrel Patton was able to hold off Schell through that back section.

Darrel Patton made his move on Lindsay and both him and Jeremy were able to make the pass.

Kory Ellis skyed the finish line jump taking the checkered flag for the win.

Dustin Nelson finished second for the moto.

Darrel finished 3rd with a overall 2 place. And is now in the lead with 138 point while Schell has 137.

lol, great pics but i can barely see the results, im sure kory ellis is on the top, then who? darrel patton, jeremy schell, doug gust? by the way when are the pics of the last elsinore racegoing to be up? how was the gp?

the gp sucked.... i hated it so much... right off the start i rolled it... then two laps later i flipped it in the back section... it just wasnt my day....

ya sorry it kept telling me it was to big so..

actually kory wasnt on top... because he DNF the first moto he ended up like 11th overall.... dustin nelson won and darrel patton got second...

ya he broke his axle like 15 seconds into the first moto....

ya it does sound like bretts last race huh... but i crashed twice within like 20 minutes... and now my bike is pretty mest up but atleast im ok...

you are pretty tough to come back after 2 crashes and race the team race....

whats wrong with the bike? i heard a tie rod or something?

I hope nothing is wrong with it im going riding today.... I just bent my bars a little bit and broke my killswitch... but hey who needs a killswitch right???? and bent my clutch and brake....

trust me if it wasnt for christys dad i wouldnt have raced the team race... but it was really fun and im glad i did...

The photos look bad?... It was becuase of the 30+ mph winds... the dust was so bad at times the camera wouldn't even focus..
As for the results I will put up a better list as soon as I can...

I wonder how the round 8 pro race would turn out if Jeremy Schell was riding a yamaha prepared by someone like Alba ?
Instead of the Duncan Kaw Z400.
