$h!t...I feel so stupid now...

Okay...I was changing the oil in my 400EX and I started fillin it up...And then it hit me-$h!t! I forgot to change the oil filter!!!
I was wondering if it would be okay to run it without changing it...or if I should tip the bike on its side and pop open the filter cover and put the new one in? Any help would be great guys...Thanks.

It won't hurt the bike if you just forgot once. I wouldn't recommend going over 2 changes without the filter though. Your oil will appear to be dirty after you run it a few minutes because of the oil left in the filter. I did the same thing when i first got my 400.

If you wanted to tip it, you wouldn't need to tip it to far. The oil doesn't "flow" out where the filter is... There will be enough oil in there with the filter though.

Personally I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure you don't do it again :D
