how can a banshee and a 400 even be compared? a 400 would beat the $hit out of a banshee in the woods, because a 400 will fly through the woods and up hills and a banshee will spin like a mofo. but a banshee would smoke a 400 in a drag..

Honestly this is an apples to oranges comparison.

I would take a Banshee in the Dunes and the 400EX everywhere else.

400EX is still one of the best bikes out there. Not everyone needs a 450R or YFZ450. I kind of miss my old EX but I do not miss pushing it out the shed. I think what I miss most about it was how quiet it was. My Z was louder than the EX when I had the stock exhaust. I have thought about going to a 450R for the added power and quiet exhaust but don't want to lose Electric start and reverse. Kick start isn't bad as long as it starts.

yoo you want to find out what is best????? take your shee to a race at SOUTHWICK!!!!!!! then let us know how much you love it !!!!!!! i raced a 99 all last year and best fin was a 6th at this track . this year i have a new 450r with stock susp - holeshots on rear only and a slipon fmf. and have taken 2nd 3 out of 3 times (to 3 dif yfz's withat least 7k in each, no chit) i,ve been there done that and have the trophys to prove it. what you got:devil:

seriousely folks the ex is just easier to ride esp. on a track. you can go faster for longer. i used to get psst. i sold my ex to get a shee to go racen, then got beat by ex's:grr:
