Does slapping on a set of +1 or +2 a-arms without widening the axle out back put any excess strain on bushings, bearings etc..? I'm wondering because i was going to get a set of burgard +1 or +2's and wanna know if there are any adverse effects. Thanks.

it all depends how wide you go with the front end....maybe +1 or 2 will b alright but ive ridden bikes with +3 front ends with stock axles and they have really bad oversteer and all depends wat kind of riding you do.

I ride dunes. Umm...so what would you recommend? +1 or +2?

for anything other then cross country or MX, I'd recommend plus 2. for MX plus 3, for cross country plus 1

The plus 2 is really nice in the dunes. You don't "need" an extended axle, but it sure is nice. If money is the object, then I'd say get the +2 a-arms first, and then get a +4 axle when you can afford it.
