Would someone please be so kind as to tell me how to change the jets on my 450r. im getting tired of paying 20 bucks everytime i guess the wrong jet. The guy said it was pretty easy to do, he just didnt want to tell me, to keep me coming back.:mad:

i pay 60 but im a horses *****
only reson is that its new and i dont have time to fiddle only to ride

the needle jet it more of a pain, but the main jet it easy. im trying to remember, but you might have to loosent he carb and rotate it so you can see the bottom of the bowl, you wont be able to move it much. there should be an access bolt, 17mm remover it, and the jet is inside ithe hole. it is a 6mm. hey bama450r, the next quad only race is going to be up in huntsville, you should ride out. last week we had over 50 quads and about 75 entries.

yeah it aint that bad but...but when your tryin to save to get your head worked on it....it gets frustrating:D

ru talking about drag racin at the track in huntsville? and about the jet....do you have take the rear plastic off or can u do it by just taking the seat off?

i mean rocket city mx park, its a sat night and a sunday race next weekend. i had all the plastic and tank when i did mine

oh ok...i might ride up to watch then...i havent gotten into mx yet...i eventually will though...im gonna start out at Mt Nebo and see how i like it.

my god chainging a jet is so simple bring that bike to my house and i'll do it for free AND we'll get drunk doing it!!!!!!!!!!

you can change the jet w/o removing the plastic or seat and you don't have to losen the carb either. just take off the nut on the bottom of the carb with a 17mm (i think) socket or wrench. and i believe the jet size is a 6mm. just be careful putting the new jet back in and do not over tighten it because it will break. i had a buddy break his off in the carb, luckily it was easy to get out.
