Wanted: Good ATV

I'm looking for a good ATV. Around $1500 or less, don't want to spend too much because it will be my 1st one. Looking for something that can also be used for racing with a few mods. Looking for a runner, doesn't have to look good, but want one that is mechanically sound. Please if anyone has one for sale please post details and a picture is possible.

A 250ex would be sweet, but I can't afford it. I'm 17, and my parents don't want me to get a quad, and the only way they will let me get one is if I work and pay for it myself. $1500 is really pushing it for me, but $2500 is way out of my range right now.
