I have a Fujifilm S3000 that I believe WalMart sells for $298 now. It is 3.2 megapixel, 6x optical zoom, pretty happy with it. I just need to learn how to use it better... :o

go to wall mart, thats where youll find the best price. i have a vivitar 3.3 megapixel.
whatch what you buy, try to buy the data cord, sim card, and case all together, i bought all my stuff seperate. got a 64 meg card for mine so i can take like 180 pics or somethin like that. i say the card is a must. i recommend "nickel metal hydride" rechargable batteries and a charger. i just have four batteries, 2 in the camera and 2 with me at all times cause ya never know when its gunna puke on ya. just some advise.;) ed

I just did a bunch of research awhile ago and bought a camera last week.

I ended up getting a Kodak DX6340 it got high reviews for the price. about $170.

Then I got extra rechargable batteries. $30

Last but certainly not least a 256mb memory card. Which will hold 263 high quality pics, or 23 min. worth of video. $55

Thats close to $300. The pics are great on this camera, nice options to play with and overall I'm very happy.

I bought all my stuff off Ebay.
