im getting pretty fed up with all the telemarketers, ive had 7 of them call in the last 30 minutes , anyone have the same problem or know of ways to get rid of them? :mad:

one called here selling phones or something for a phone and my mom told them we don't have a phone

just say no there not home right now but if you give me your home phone number ill get back to you....then they say sorry but i cant give the information out and you just say o so you dont like being bothered at home and just hang up

yup they call here all the time, i just hang up or if im pissed i have a few words for them.:devil: ;)

when they call me i usually say im conducting a servey and then they get confused then i say a few words and hang up.

they have a way of getting around the lists and everything now, i just saw it on the news this morning :mad:, oh well im just gonna cuss them out everytime they call lol, only thing that would probaly keep them away

Look, telemarketers have heard it all. If you swear at them or ask for their home phone, etc., your only making yourself look dumb. If your going to mess with them be like hardees and go all out. Or maybe that wasn't hardees. If you really want to mess with them be completely serious and listen for a bit. Then start asking questions about what their offering. If it's a cellphone ask what frequency range the receiving module can recieve incoming text messages, you know just make stuff up. That's what really gets to telemarketers. Because most of them don't know diddly about what their selling. Just my 2 cents.

I used to just not answer the phone or if I did accidentally answer I would just hang up on them. They're relentless and they'd just keep calling. I finally started asking each and every one of them to take me off their calling list (and by law they've got to do it). On top of that I signed up on the do not call list. I used to get about 15 calls a day and now I get about 2 a week. The ones I do get are usually local Amvets collecting old clothing for the poor or the State Highway Patrol asking for money.

so far today ive hung up,yelled at,talked to,scared and asked for one chicks number :D, i think its working they havent been calling as much, btw i didnt know if you tell them to take your name off the list that they have too, im going to start doing that :macho

Let your phone ring at least 4 times before you pick it up. Many of them are on computers that call multiple #s and they take the first one that picks up.

if ur on the do not call registry, telemarketers cannot call unless you have done business with their company in the past. if you get an unwanted call, you can call the phone company and they can trace the call to where it came from, and you can sue. that was part of the new law they came up with, anybody that calls your house must be identified, they cant call you untraced, like a computer for instance. get caller id, if you dont recognize the call dont answer it. the computer wont prompt the person until you say "hello" twice. if you say "hello" once and noting is on the other end you know it is bull call and hang up. i used to have this problem, now i dont get any unwanted calls hardly at all.;) ed

I lve messin with telemarketers, some times when they call me act i tell them im in the middle of havin sex with my g/f, and start moanin, act like im really interested in it then tell then start askin them **** loads of questions, or act like im a arby's emploee, the list goes on and on.....lol

usually whenever they ask for my parents I say yea hold on he'll be right here and just set the phone down. If i'm sitting by the phone i'll just keep going back to it every coupe minutes telling him hes on his way, hes gonna pick it up, heres taken off his boots, ect, ect. To then tell him he decided not to come to the phone.

lol,the best had to be when a guy called my buddy back about a home equity loan that he inquired.they started chatting but my buddies dog was barking the whole time he kept screaming at her to shut up but she wouldn't.after about 5 minutes of barking my buddy told the guy to hold on.he went into his closet and then walked to the door......a few seconds later "BOOM" i was like WTF? here he lit off a quarter stick and the dog was so stunned that stopped barking.he then said to the guy"sorry about that,i just had to shoot my f**kin dog":D the guy muttered" oh,i'm sorry sir,i'll catch you at another time" and hung up:huh
