would +2 or +2 +1 be a better setup for motocross on my 400ex?

+2 +0 is what I have it works great, but i too have an extended swingarm +1.25". I race mx and from my experience I don't want a +1 forward a-arm setup. I like what I have. But I'll let a few other people give you their opinion and you can decide from there.

if you get 2+1 you are going to have to get a extended swinger to make it equal again, but if you not planning on getting a longer one, just got 2+0...and for a-arms to save yourself some money get some burgards....i have them and money well spent, very nice arms imo

get some +3's:)

I have nevr had 400ex extended arms...but i know on some quads the +1 forward will create a push in corners...

If you have an extended swingarm get the +2+1, it will handle better, if you have stock length in the rear go +2+0.

I run Laegers +3 A-arms, and they are awsome! If MX is all you do, go with plus 3 insted of plus 2.

If ya got the money then I would definitely go Houser or JB.

Then again, you can't go wrong with Burgards....cheaper, but still a quality product.

Also, think of exactly how you are gonna run your quad, getting +3's for woods riding is ridiculous....catch my drift. Also, whoever you order from will be able to hook you up with exactly what they think would be best for your application.:)

Not to hijack the thread or anything, but why do you need an extended swinger to run a arms that go farther forward? My curiosity is killing me and this is probably a very dumb question.

to equal out the weight diference, well the stock bike has a balance point, and when ya go with +2+1 arms then it put the tier and wheels and everything 1" forward messing up the balance poit, and i think ya have to get a +1 1/4 or +2 swinger to equall out the balance point again, i think thats why if i have mistaken my self im sorry :huh :D
