I have works triple rate front shocks and my buddy has PEP zps shocks which are supposed to be better but the guy who serviced his shocks said it doesnt matter what kind they are after they are serviced because the valving is all custom... is this true?

Thats not true at all! Works are a basic design where PEPs have a far more sofisticated valving setup. The Works shock would have to be completley gutted and the valving changed to the shim design to even come close to the top 3 shock companines.

Sorry but that is wrong. Works are a top quality shock and as good as anything out there. PEP got big because they introduced the ZPS and Elka staped up with a lot of sponsorship money and advertising. Axis, PEP, Elka are considered the top 3 but Works offers a top shock as well. The reason Works gets a bad rep is they offer a bottom line shock and people want to compair those to the top line PEP's. That and kids think if it cost more it has to be better.

LOL......you need to open up a Works shock and take a look inside.
