Pierced Tongue ???

How many of you guys and girls have your tongue pierced?? I'm probably gunna get it done tomorrow , so I wanna know ... how long did it take for it to heal , for swelling to go down , and until you were able to eat and talk properly?

I think its a bad choice. I mean i not against piercings, i have my eyebrow pierced, but I think getting your tounge pierced it real dumb because it is a muscle, not a piece of skin or cartilage. Thats my opinion tho.

Personally, I wouldn't want it done. I have known quite a few people who have had it done and have had nothing but problems with it getting infected, not able to talk correctly, etc. A lot of insurance companies will drop you b/c of the tongue ring. It can rub the enamel of your teeth.

Anyway, enough of acting like "Dad!" haha!

However, it is good for girls to have them. Like on Pulp Fiction, "...just curious, why would you have a stud in your tonge?...Helps fellatio.":D

Actually - your tongue and genitals are the two fastest healing places to get pierced - your tonque will be fully healed within 2 weeks......make sure you follow their aftercare instructions to the T - or you could get infected. I've had my tonque pierced 3 times (not at the same time) and never had any infections because I was a good girl and did what they told me while it was healing. You and Listerene will become best friends! LOL!!! :) You can talk immediately afterwards.......and it doesn't hurt that much getting it done, either - as long as you go to a reputable place and they have done a million piercings......they have to know how to push the needle through properly......good luck whatever you do!! :)

Yep - one time it closed up within a half an hour......I was going to a job interview and took it out, and when I got home to put it back in, it was already starting to close.......I had my tongue pierced for two years, and after I took out the barbell, it was healed up in the middle within a week or two........so......it's definately not permanent!! Keep the bar in there, or if you need to hide it, they sell clear acrylic posts you can put in to keep the hole open, but you can't really see them.....I know alot of people who use these during the day.

i had mine done...took it out...now im going to get it redone...they say it takes 2 weeks....shyt mine was healed faster than that...mine didnt swell up or anything...the next day i was eating chicken from hardees....but if u get it done make sure u got alot of listerine layin arround for the first mth or so that away after u eat u can swish it out....i say go for it bro....it dont hurt....and payoff is well worth it...

i think a tongue ring looks more trashy on girls than anything because it makes them look like they live life on their knees 90% of the time if u kno what im sayin

it does not hurt at all....its a quick pain and its over...

LOL!!! I took it out before I had surgery, and since I couldn't get the end off, I had to cut it off with a pair of dykes......so.....I just never got it done again!! NO pics this time.....sorry Jerry! :) ;)

I have mine done, and so does my GF. I got it because I wanted something different, that isn't very noticable, and not as permanate as a tattoo.

Its definately not gay for a guy to have one. In fact I can say I have picked up 4 girls by nothing other than them knowing, I have a tongue ring.....

It also doesn't hurt your teeth, if done correctly. Most people have barbells that are to long. In that case you will hurt your teeth, even crack/chip teeth if your not carefull. If you get the correct barbell lenght and its tight on your tongue your not going to have any of those problems.

I don't get the nipple ring thing. i have to wear a tank top under my riding jersey (my summer jersey with little holes in it) when i race cause if i don't it wears all the skin off my nipples..........by buddy has a nipple ring and leaves it in underneath his jersey and has no problems :huh

When you first get your tongue pierced, they use a longer post so that if your tongue swells, the ball won't slip down into your tongue. It's up to you to buy the shorter post when your tongue isn't swollen anymore.....this keeps it snug and keeps you from playing with it in your mouth so much, which is what can chip some people's teeth. I always used to play with mine...but it never hurt my teeth any!

Damn ... I Never thought the thread would last this long . I was supposed to get it done yesturday , but unexpected expenditures came up . As soon as I have the money to get it done , I'm doing it . I watched my friend get hers done yesturday and it was pretty neat . I know a few guys that have their tongue pierced and they get a LOT of ladies . Plus a lot of girls I know say they find it pretty sexy on a guy and it "enhances the pleasure" :devil:
