I am thinking about buying a jeep wrangler, but I really dont know anything about them, If you have one, how do you like it, and post a pic of it.

Thanks,

I don't have a pic but I have a 1995 Wrangler Rio Grande (meaning its a 4banger). I love it. Great on gas, goes through more mud than lifted truck because of the short wheel base, and are fun as hell in the summer with the top down. It has been through 3 accidents and because of the steel body the dents pop right back out, none of that plastic bs. Alot of people say they are really top heavy and roll very easily. Well they can roll easily, but that is because people like the fact that they can turn on a dime so they abuse that privlege. The roll bars are also a very nice (and safe) addition.

I wouldn't trade mine for a truck or car if my life depended on it!:blah:

jeeps are nice, but in my opinion they look gay stock. But when you lift them with some tires, even some 31's,there badass.I wouldnt get one if your going to leave it stock height, becuase you look like a beachboy driving around with the top down with those little 205 tires!!And if your going to be pulling a trailer I wouldnt reccomend a jeep.

Jeeps are amazing machines, but the body doesnt hold up very long. Dont get me wrong, some jeeps is taken care of properly, last forever, but most of them rot out, so stay away from used older jeeps, new is the only way to buy em.

hey yazer got any specs(lift size, tire size,4.0 or 4 banger, auto or manual)did you re-gear?Is that a cat-back exhaust or custom made?Looks nice,I dont like your rims, but thats my opinion,i say get some black steelies or "simulated beadlock" rims, there pretty cheap and would look good on your rig:devil: any future plans?

If you are going to be doing much off road, stay away from the Yj's (only ones with square headlights). Get either an older Cj or a newer Tj.

The suspension on the Yj's isn't horrible, but it is the worst of any jeep.

i have a 4 inch lift ,31x10.5x15 super swamper traxus tires on rims that paid 50 bucks for !.( they still rub the fenders when im in the rocks) my exhaust its kinda custom, (very long story) but i have a dynomax high flow cat, dynomax muffler and from there back it 3" pasesetter. also have a k and n filter charger kit feeding the under powerd 4 banger with a 5 speed spinning stock gears:( my future plans are to sell this one and buy one with a 4.0 and a hard top and full doors. next i would put a 6"long arm kit with at least 35's and make sure to put lockers front and rear! o ya and regear too

I prefer my Samurai for rock-crawling. But you can't beat a Jeep! They are THE best built American iron IMHO. I'm not big on YJ's, but the ol' CJ's and the new TJ's (especially the Rubicon) are too sweet. My wife drives a 4.0 liter '93 Grand Cherokee with 165,000 miles on it. It does not burn a drop of oil between changes, all the tie rod ends, ball joints, and U-joints are greaseable, and have never been replaced. And get this, She pulls a horse trailer with 2 horses in it at least once a week! That 4.0 liter six doesn't get the best mileage (around 17 average), but I know of many in the area with over 200,000 miles and running every day. And VERY torquey.:)

I agree 100% My 89 yj couldn't handle the riggers of commuting to and from work! Thats why everything got ripped out. The only thing left was the body and chassis. I added 2 dana44's locked with 4:88 gears (from an IH scout), axle flip on stock springs, 350 sb chevy roller engine, msd ignition, edelbrock offroad carb, sm465 tranny, 205 t-case, 1410 u-joints with cv's, full skid plates, racing seats with a harness, full cage, 9500 winch, and the 35" procomps.

Yesterday my dad bought a samari for $400. new engine and tranny, fuel injected. Its really ugly but after investing about $800 more in it nothing will stop it!
