I got the the cover off to where i can see the 4 valve springs. My question is, how do i remove the top end, i think i have all the bolts and nuts loose, but i can't get the thing to budge.

I don't want to sound like a smart *****, but get a shop manual and follow the 1,2,3's.
I removed the engine from my 250x a few times and don't remember beating on anything.

if the topend doesnt slide off easy....the gaskets might be making it stick.
GENTLY tap with a rubber mallot around the sides....and pull up on it w/ith your hands.
if that dont work then you didnt remove all the bolts:)
