Rumor has it there is a 650 in the works and I was wondering if there is any truth to it.I am looking to upgrade and was thinking about a 450 but maybe I should wait.

i dont know if their makin a 650 or not but i think it would be a good idea so the raptor has something to compete with.

Yeah, but I think people are satisfied with the 450r and YFZ for now, and the only quads it would compete with would be the v-force and the raptor.

I think you guys are forgetting about the ds650. In desert it will smoke all(keep in mind stock vs. stock). Dont even complain about how heavy it it because that quad is for desert and sand not no motocross. If you want to moto cross why would you get a raptor anyway?

thts not the purpose of the thread, we r wondering if HONDA is going to make a 650R, also, big people need bigger quads and tht is why u would buy a rappy or any other open class beast

Why bother wondering, we won't know till it comes out and its all speculation till the company releases info.

BTW the DS is a pretty nice quad, I wouldn't even bother mentioning the weight, because if you think its that heavy you won't want to ride any other 650... Well I guess only a 700...

its a desert and dunde bike, just because you ride trails and woods and mx doesnt mean you know everything, the ds650 is made for desert and does great in the dunes, it is heavy but that motor has so much torque and pwoer nad will beat a stock banshee up a hill, unless the rider on the banshee is a perfect and very very fast shifter the ds will smoke it

I used to have a raptor, and even then i wasnt scared of those bus's. Power to weight ratio means something, ESPECIALLY in the sand. My 450r is much faster with just exhaust than my pretty beefed up raptor used to be.

I would never buy a bus. Only if I was a really big guy would i want that much torque. Otherwise I will continue to give those bus's, raptors, and yes banshee's hell at the dunes on my 450r. :blah:

Oh yeah, who won the baja 1000???
