I just got my 400 today and it has an aftermarket exhaust on it but has no name on it. I was wondering what kind it is

its an old beat up cobra if i am not mistaken.. :grr: worst exhaust in the world from what ive heard.. invest in something new, at least i would

again i have no knowledge of these exhaust, but from what ive heard.. they suck, and thats an understatement

Yep, it's a Cobra. Are you still able to hear? Those things are damn loud and a POS.

glad i was not mistaken:D it also looks like a WB exhaust i dont remember what it was called but i think they were onle meant for races or something casue they are so loud... but i dont think theres a way for a WB to look that bad. i know it has alloy in the name its just not coming to me.

anyways good luck on your decision of a new pipe which hopefully you are thinking on..

It's not really that loud and I got the orginal exhaust and header from the seller.

another thing that comes in very very handy is a pressure washer.. no sence geting down oh your hands and knees cause that will be really hard to clean.. only if you were intending to clean it though.. i know people that just say whats the point.. its just gonna get dirty when you ride.. oh well its a matter of personal preference

I think i read somewhere in the manual that said you shoulded use a pressure washer on the engine

use it on the widest possible setting.. its like mist, literally. put your hand under it and its fune, might sting a tiny bit but it hasnt harmed a thing.. i just hate cleaning stuff

If you are going to replace that exhaust get something good, like a sparks or HMF.

Actually, I think your right. It is shaped exactly like the Cobra but the header is different. The Cobra silencers have a different connecting peice to the headers.

Dab516: this is not a Cobra pipe.

Yea I diffent think it was a cobra I love the way it sounds. I also have a K&N filter on it. Also it is running synthetic racing oil. Where do I buy this. What am I looking for. How often does it need changed and what are the advantages and disadvantages to running this.
