running hot or not?

need a little help here guys
ive had my 450 a couple of months now and i have ridden it very hard at time and in some very hot weather,but my fan has never come on once.
do any of you guys experience the same thing or do you think mine is broken
any help here is appreciated

your fan will usually only come on at idle, it is liquid cooled also so when it has air flowing in it dont need the fan...

i know it should come on at idle but my z400 fan comes on once in a while

I noticed the same thing, but a few weeks ago I noticed that the fan spins like crazy when you start to move. I think when you go down the road or whenever you move fast enough wind goes through the radiator and then through the fan. I'm guessing whenever the fan spins it is helping cool the engine with the coolant?:confused:

i never noticed mine on until i put a pipe, filter and 175 main jet in it. now it runs a lot hotter so the fan comes on more. don't worry it will work when it has to.
