cell phone plans?

its time for a new plan. whats everyones thoughts on prepaid vs. monthly. i don't use mine alot, more so my wife and parents can get in touch with me at work.

get a virgin mobile...you pay as you need to...and thatn way you dont have to worry about not using them all and you dont waste monthly money

I would go monthly...up here, it seems like all the pre-paid is a crock of ****. We don't get virgin, verision....or any of them cool ones, but I do know monthly plans seem to work out much better than pre-paid, and you get a much cooler phone:cool:

I have the Unicel UNLIMITED plan. $40 per month and you can call anywhere in the US anytime for as long as you want. Works for me. :macho

i have tracfone and its the best for me
i dont use one that much to pay monthly

nextel, but parents have verizon and tht seems to be one of the best around here

I had a Virgin Mobile, but I used it to much and it was costing me somewhere around $80 a month, so now I have a nextel, I pay about $60 a month now, but I also have the Internet on it and AIM, I get 560 minutes a month, free nights and weekends, and unlimited Direct Connect, which is the sole purpose I wanted a Nextel, most of my family has them and its easier to get ahold of them. Oh and my Nextel gets MUCH better reception than my Virgin Mobile did.

i got AT&T GSM satelite... it sucks for service here and cost a arm and a leg...



plus they screwed up my bill tried to charge me 1700$ bc they said i only had 450 mins when i have 1600 or something... i use well over 1500 mins a month on mine but most are nights & weekends... they said i didn't have that either and charged me like 45cents a min or something... i got it straightened out thou... my bills like 119$:eek2: usually and thats just one phone:huh

I have midwest wireless, 500 day minutes and 2000 night and weekend minutes.. $40 bucks a month

Woa, I want that plan!! I'm stuck with a lowsy 400 minutes a month, which were used up because my brother stole one of our cell phones and used up all 400 minutes plus $70 more on drug dealings!:eek2: :huh

I've never heard of Unicel though...anyone in the Minnesota/Wisconsin area know of any good companies with that kind of plan?

Don't feel bad....my family has 600 minutes between 3 phones, which leaves me with like 200 a month:(

thanks for the responses. since i don't use mine much, i think i'm going for a prepaid trac-phone. cheap and great coverage in my area. the phones don't have alot of fancy features, but it'll do.
i'd like a new color flip, but for 40/month for a cheap monthly plan i can have a trac-phone for 6 months and not run out of minutes.
