Has anyone done this?? I have just heard talk that in 2006 2-strokes will be out-lawed from the GNCC series (true or false) That i dont know, and i dont understand how they can actully rule that. I also heard rumors about Major Manufactors not being able to sell 2-strokes in 2006, So im sure there is some truth in there somewhere, I just dont know where!
Well this is an idea with the 450 motor in the 250r, If that law passes. Any suggestions on this topic please post!

if you do manage to get it to fit, it will just rattle those weak 250r frames apart.
yea like hes said except the geometry would be great!

the yfz already has great geometry. it handles similar to a stock R if not better. just buy a yfz and it will be a lot cheaper and much more solid bike in the long run. just my 2 cents. happy racin. Matt

My thoughts exactly, its already been done. They have been doing it with YZF motors for years.

I would put 250R in 400ex frame, works great.

I was wondering this, for when they outlaw 2-strokes??? And a 450 has alot better geometry than any 400ex!

I saw in a magazine a while back where some honda dealership somewhere was putting CR 250 motors in 400EX frames and selling them. It said that they were REAL popular cause of the good handling and powervalve motor.

My point is for all those guys who have tricked out 250Rs, When AMA outlaws two strokes, Would a new 450 motor work in one???

i'll be one mad sum ****** if they outlaw two strokes at the nats, ive got a brand new blaster that already has more money in aftermarket stuff on it than what i paid for it

I dont see a point to doing this. What is wrong with the yfz's frame anyways...your not improving anything by switching to the 250r frame.
All your doing is not allowing yourself to run in the Production classes....in my opinion anyways
