View Full Version : Made the 300ex to 400ex jump

I bought it with with just the motor work done. About a month later here it is what do you think?

Ross 440 11.2:1, HD rod, Denton steering dampner, Works triple rate with ressies and shockwears, Gunnar kill switch, Hiper wheels, FMF powercore, Tusk handguards, AC bumper, PRM chassis and swingarm skid plates, IMS 4.3 gallon tank, Duncan Racing nerf bars, Renthal handle bars. Holeshots are going on next.

Oh, yeah I don't mess around when it comes to the quad. They bolted up great no problems. Took longer to fill the tank than to install it though.

Took the aftermarket parts off and sold it as a stocker to pay for the 400ex. I run Harescrambles and did decent on the 300 but it just wasn't enough to hang with the yfz's and 450r's. I finished 2nd in the last race to a 78hp banshee.

Well bud, you have definitely made a significant jump. 300 to a 440?:macho Dayum man, now that's what I'm talking about.

Now you can give that ole Banshee a taste of its own medicine, lol!:devil:

Well now that you run with the big boys i guess just leave us lil ol 300's alone.:(

j/k Looks great man, on a scale of 1 - 10 how do you like it compared to the 300?

If the 300 was a 1 then I'd say that my new quad is a 6. The power and speed are quite a bit more. In tight woods they are a tie, I can go a little faster on the 400 but I don't have reverse. The handling are a lot alike just because I had the 400 front end on my 300. It's deffinately and improvement and I love it. Wouldn't give it up right now for even a 450r.

Just get a graphics package and it'll look as killer as it sounds like it should run.
