hey gus went to order a piston for my 400ex today and was supprised when they said i had to go 50 thousants ovar on first overbore , is this correct ? they said it was equal to one mm,
that seams like alot to me , always did cars first time was 10 thousanths unless totaly trashed still sounds like alot

Yea i am pretty sure that is the first bore i know it is 406 cc's. That is just what mine was bored to with an 11:1 wiseco and it definetly helped but i also installed a stage 2 hotcam which i would recommend. Hope this helps.

.040 = 1mm is a 406. i run this set up right now. so, i have no clue where they were getting .050 from?? you could just hone it out and run a standard bore piston but the standard bore piston will be the same price as the others. also, you can bore your stock sleeve out 3mm's before needing a new sleeve installed.
