my friend said his yz80 isnt as fast as it used 2 because the powerband needs refeld.I asked him what the hell he was smoking and he thought the resivor on the rear shock was a powerband I laughed my *** off but he didnt think it was funny. :blah:

They are powervalves...all most all 2 stroke dirt bikes have them. Tecate's and LT's also had them. They open up as the RPM's increase to change the port timing.
The aution is correct but he should have called them powervalves instead of powerbands.

pop quiz power valve question- how does the KIPS (kawasaki intergrated powervalve system) work? each manufactuer has one and they are all very different but in the end serve the same purpose. also where does the PV fit in at on the bike?:confused:
