250/300ex

i was wondering if that meant 250ex and 300ex or 250x and 300ex because the 250ex and the 300ex have nothing the same in the motor but the 250x is just like the 300ex

Its 250x/300ex b/c the 250 is just an earlier model of the 300 and the only major differnece between both machines is that the 250 is older and has different plastic. Thats why you see 250x/300ex listed like that in parts sections in mags, b/c both machines are basically the same.
