i ride in all sorts of terrain . from rocks to slippery mud to very very fine dirt i am looking for the best overall tire and dont see much difference in the 2 tires and from what i have heard outside of these forums but now im coming to you guys

please post what you know from experience or what you have heard people say from experience.. in other words i just want the facts

ps the mud im talking about isnt deep mud, its just the regular dirt when it gets wet, but it does get slippery

Two words: No comparison. The Razr 2's are better in every aspect.

I agree with chef, I've never ridden the 2's, but have been told they hook up almost too good. None the less a great tire. Either way you go, you'll be getting a great tire.

Both are good tires, but I would go with the razr 2's if you have the extra cash and the reg. razrs if you are on more of a budget.

i just bought razr 2's and im having them be put on today. but just take a look through all the gncc races. most of the racers run the razr 2's. especially in last years races. so they obviously like em. must be good.:p

I used to have razr 1's and now run full Razr 2's for my woods setup ( I ride mostly MX now though with Razr MX's...). I must say that the Razr 2's hook up WAY better than the Razr 1's. I have not found a terrain yet that I couldnt find instant traction. Sloppy mud, rocky terrain, clay, sand, you name it!! The only thing the Razr 1 does better than the razr 2 is slide, but that is because it doesnt grip as good. Youll have no problem sliding the Razr 2's if you have to it just takes a little more throttle and body english. Overall, no comparison between the 2 like chef said...

howabout flex..

and last but not least... how about sliding, one of my favorite things to do when trail riding is that the times when there is a high berm coming around a orner i cant help myself but to swing the back end out and throw a nice roost..

i got 2's all the way around and they are just like TC said, a really good tire and they really do hook up...i have yet to run MX with them, just woods/trails but im sure they will hook up. the 6 ply rating makes them tough as nails, too! def. worth the money, i got the rears for $112 and the fronts for $114 pretty good price for some NICE tires

Razr 2
I just got razr2’s for my 450r. I got 22/11/9 and 23/7/10 had in stock. I do all woods riding. I was wondering how it will affect the handling? Or should I go with 20/11/9 and 22/7/10 not in stock?

Im picking them up on Friday and I will post what I think about them!

Razr's are made to work in hard pack Razr 2 in soft terrain. As most of us ride in intemidiate to soft muddy stuff not many will see the Razr as a better tire but if you ride blue groove hard pack then it is another story.

Is anyone running the Razr 1's in the GNCC at all?

The Razr's are bad even on hardpack-No hookup. They do Ok on asphalt, but get skaty around the top of 4th and 5th...:o

I went with 22/11/9 and 23/7/10 added a lot of ground clearince!! I allso put on a 13 tooth sprocket to get back to stock gearing. The razr2's are real hard on the enviroment, dont have to mow the grass any more!! LOL
It rained all week and the trail were real muddy the razr2's loved it never missed a beat.
I would recomend the tire to any one who trail rides. Up here in PA we have every thing form hard pack to mud to rocks to grass. and they woorked real good.
The taller trires I went with gave it a little more tippy feel but the side walls are real stiff and the traction is a lot better. and even thow it felt more tippy It handles better that stock. you can realy push it in to the corrners and let it hang out.
