I just had my lonestar a-arms chromed and am trying to install them. On LSR's website it says to screw the caster heim joints (on top arms) in all the way and then back the rear one out 3 turns for a starting point. Well, my problem is, all 4 of my heim joints will only thread in about half of the threads. Is this normal or do I need to run a tap down through the arm. All four seem to bottom out at the same place. It seems to me running them like this (half of threads showing) would weakin the heim joint. I would guess they should thread completely in. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

see if you can see an obstruction in the threads

Are you using a big wrench? My JD a arms only went in 3/4 of the way before I needed a wrench to get them the rest of the way in. Even then, it was pretty tough to get them in, but persistance pays!! I definately wouldn't run them out like that though. They wouldn't be near as strong.
