250r-400ex steering Stablizer

Will a 250R PEP steering stablizer fit my 400ex? Also, which one is the new/ rebuildable one, the one that has a buldge at one end, or the perfectly smooth one?

Also, will a 250R Denton steering stablizer fit my 400ex?

which of the two is a better stablizer?

Not sure if the 250R will fit, but I can tell you that the rebuildable one is the one WITHOUT the bulge at the end. Those are the old black, non rebuidable ones. The new ones are anodized red or polished aluminum, and are just a straight cylinder.
