I have a 2001 400EX. What is the best pipe that has
the least amount of rusting or bluing. Also, gives best overall power-good low, mid and top end. Sound doesn't really matter although not too loud but has a good grunt to it.

I've got the Big Gun full system and it is ceramic coated so it does not stain or rust a bit, ever.
It really improves the bottom and mid power but does not improve top end much on a stock motor. It does give you gobs of torque so you can use higher gears when hill climbing or coming out of corners so you end up going a lot faster.

I think the Big Gun is an excellent pipe, but it is quite loud... I hate to be in the garage when they start the bike...

I have the powerbong and FMF Titanium set-up, it's not too loud which is a big plus for alot of people. Overall performance is good but I can't compare it to anything but my modified stocker.

I've been really impressed w/ my Big Gun exhaust. It is loud, but I don't consider that a bad thing. I have heard lots of good things about the Yoshi exhaust, too.

I love the big gun on my 250ex, it has helped mostly low and mid, but helped top end some too. It is a great pipe.

Usually the motor builder's pipes will produce more power, but they are the loudest. I have a sparks pipe. It provides a great power increase....especially bottom end. When i first got it, everyone said it was loud, i didn't admit it though. Now, i know its loud. The new LRD pipe seems to sound good, you might look into that.
