250x cam

i have a 300ex. if i put a stock 250x cam in my quad will i be able to notice a gain in power since the 250x cam has more lift??:huh :confused:

i doubt the 250x cam would work. for a few reasons. the diameter of the cam shaft might be to big or small to put into the 300ex engine. the cam gear might have more or less teeth on it than the 300ex has to have. if it does fit in and does have the right amount of teeth the lobes might be positioned differently and change the exhaust and intake timing. if the stroke is different on each machine then the timing will be different. If the 300ex and 250x have the same stroke and same sized cam gear and cam shaft i dont see why it wouldnt work. I would just buy an aftermarket cam for your 300.

Sorry to burst your bubble but the 250X and the 300EX cam are the same part #. Get a web cam and get more hp.

hey their killshot ive measured the lobes on the two cames.. the 250x will provide me with some more lift it may not be alot but the cam was only 25 bucks
