250x remove carrier when replacing axle bearings?

I'm reading my Clymer manual on replacing the axle bearings on my 250x. It does not mention removing the carrier to replace the bearings. It just says to pull the axle and replace the bearings. I figured I'd have to remove the carrier to take it to a shop to have the bearings pulled and the new ones pressed. Any thoughts?

nevermind, I found where they put the part about removing the carrier. Hopefully I won't need the bearing puller.
