400ex parts -garage sale

here is an updated list of all the 400ex parts I am trying to sell. Feel free to make some offers! Shipping will be added ontop. I can take paypal or a money order, whichevers easiest. I can get pictures of anything, just ask.


2001 400ex motor. brand new jug/cylinder, new Wiesco 11:1 compression standard bore. new stock studs. comes with starter. runs great, good power and very low hours since new parts, no more than 6. $800

'99 frame and subframe, straight, good condition. painted red early this year and has only several scrapes and scratches. has bill of sale. has also been guesseted under the front shock mounts. One of the top motor mounts is cracked. $275

stock yellow rear plastic, brand new never mounted. $70

Holeshot 22" XCR fronts on Douglas .190 aluminum rims. Rims have only one flat spot, great condition otherwise. One tire leaks approx. 1/2 pressure overnight. still good tread. $100

stock front shocks. off a mint 2001 $75

left spindle. used, straight and in good condition $35

stock rear brake hub and locknut, good condition, no cracks and splines are in good shape $30

front hubs, recently powdercoated blue by pappy, bearings have only had a few rides $45

complete front brakes. Master cylinder, brake lines, and calipers, all ready to go. $100

oil cooler with lines, fins are in good condition $20

stock gas tank, no petcock $25

gas tank plastic (the white piece under the gas tank) $15

'01 yellow rear plastic, somewhat faded, has 2 honda racing decals on it. $40

'02 front plastic, faded and has a crack along where the plastic goes over the headlights. $30

2000 red seat (with foam and pan). The seat posts have been cut off for an aftermarket latch. Only a few scratches, no tears. Will throw in a seat pan that does have the posts for free. $35

black stock side panels with ceet graphics $20

'01 stock front shocks. Mint and in excellent condition, very low miles $75

Rear caliper mounting bracket, c-clip, and slide ring $10


Sold Items:
Magura hydraulic clutch. comes with bleeding kit. needs to get bled and a new mounting bracket is needed to mount it onto the motor. it also has the stainless steel line. $120 (sold to quadcustoms)

brand new front plastic and side panels $150 (sold to 400EXCHAD)

Ceet seat cover, gripper top and red vynel sides. No rips/tears in the top $30 (sold to AC 400 ex 02)

Tag T2 handle bars, gold with silver Spider grips. bars are 1 1/8" and require the use of fat bar clamps. straight and in perfect condition $75 (sold)

black stock side panels and gas tank cover, good condition $35 (sold to squeak12)

front hubs, bearings are fairly new and in good condition, come with rotors that are in good condition as well. $50 (sold to Dawn)

oil cooler with lines, fins are in good condition $20 (sold)

Aluminum airbox. Not sure of the brand. My subframe is tweaked so the chain/rear sprocket hit it and cracked a couple of the welds, comes with battery, wire harness, and the rest of the electrical components that are usually found on the subframe. Also comes with lid and snorkle. $75 (sold)

right spindle. brand new, only mounted then unmounted. $45 (sold)

Lonestar stock width a-arms. fully camber and caster adjustable, heavy duty tie rods are in good condition as well. ball joints are fairly new and in great shape $250 (sold)

2001 black seat cover. No rips/tears, only staple holes. $30 (sold)

sorry but I'd like to sell the plastic together. if someone else decides to buy just the front or something then i will part them. I have other side panels but just not brand new ones.

as for the seat cover, if neither of the first 2 people who posted about it are interested in it, then its yours

sorry $50 is to low. The bars retail for around $90 i believe and the grips run for $15. $80 shipped and they're yours, these bars are mint.

ahh oh yea lol. thats all my dads stuff. i'm not really into doin anythin with it, but its nice having it all, we've been able to build a nice deck and a couple sheds

piston has 5 rides tops on it. it smokes a little bit on startup but goes away in a few seconds

I just ran out and snapped a pic of the tank cover. It has some marks from a antivibe hitting it and a hole from when a steering stem must have bent back and hit it. The side covers are mint.

it for a project anyways...im fitting 400ex plastics onto a tecate...im putting blue maiers on there cause it has a green frame. if the yellow one doesnt look good ill just paint it. so just expect a payment for 35 in your paypal, ill title it tank cover and side panels

yea but the frame is lime green and i really wanted either blue, white, or lime green fenders and if i got blue i was prolly gonna make it look somehthing like yours with the yellow graphics cause they look good on your fenders

I have brand new stock rear, as listed in this thread.
-stock yellow front, crack where the plastic goes over the headlights.
-stock yellow rear, scratches here and there, little faded but in good shape
-blue maier, had the full fenders but were trimmed to a race cut, its a complete set of front, rear, side panels and tank cover
-stock red with hood, hellbound flame graphics kit, rear is mint, and looks sick

I will take $50 + shipping for the blue. Has a nice set of hellbound graphics. The headlights have been cut out, and a hood was once on it but removed. The rear fenders have a crack where the seat latch goes, and has a small piece missing on the lower right side. You'll need to custom bend a L bracket to mount the front fenders in the front, I might have some extra brackets laying around that would work.

the motor is in good condition. It has a brand new jug/cylinder. New weisco standard bore 11:1 compression, new stock studs, new valve seals, and when it was apart the valves were lapped. After break in I've had barely any hours on it, maybe 6 tops, it was a spare motor that I never really used.

i can get some pictures later, but i have this one here that I took while i was takin the quad apart

oh yes, it will still be a reliable trails motor. The compression is higher, but its still safe on the stock rod (holds up to 12:1 comp) and its a stock bore, so i think it would be really hard for it to blow head gaskets. i believe most woods riders run that compression. you will be fine with running high pump in it.
