88 250R on 87 R

Are there any differences in the seats on different year 250r's? I thought I had read once that the seats where different. I have a chance to buy a 88 seat but want to be sure it will fit my 87.

I believe its just the hight of the foam. There is no differance in the mounting

it will mount, the 88 seat is much better it doesnt use the stupid bracket up front to mount to the frame.the seat is molded so fit onto the frame,much better and tighter fit.
