Alright here is the deal I know this question has probably been asked before but I can't find what I'm looking for in the search. What are the best shocks for practice and occational race mx and trail riding for between 250$-400$. I'm asking this question for a friend. We had talked about elkas but they're too expensive and Works was another possibility but he said he'd at least like to have a set of dual rates with ressies if possible for the money. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Works tripple rates w/o rezzies. You can always add rezzies later, or get them re-done by de risi.

i would pick up a set of slightly used ones. you will be able to find a set of works tripple rates with rezzy's for around $300. you will be able to find some elka's for around $500-$600.

Get a set of used Works Triple Rates w/ rezzies and have them revalved by DeRisi or if your friend has enough money left over, get the Pro Millenium Kit done to them and they'll be much better.
