The Camaro Concept car will be coming out... they are undecided on the year but they are thinking around 2007, here's the downfall of the camaro: projected retail price for the 2007 release, $ 170,000. RIDICULOUS!

170 is BS!!! they should be 25,000$ like they use to be... noone wants to spend 170,000$ on a car thats gonna end up sitting there bc #1 u can't afford insurance and #2 it'll become a collectores item or a show piece...


i think they should go to a 350 v-8 and sell them for 35,000$ MAX!!!!!! thats gonna be b.s. when the camaro will beat a corvette...

over priced... they are actually one of the best band for the bucks out there... z06s sell usually under 65,000 if not 60,000 depends on certain things... it'll run right with super cars that cost hundreds of thosands more...


and yes alot of yuppies drive them around... but i don't know ONE person that says they don't like the corvettes of any years excpet the C4s... the corvette is every kids dream car pretty much since the 1950s... its amaericas car:macho

i would have to completley disagree wit you ive always hated the vette since i was little maybe cause i hate chevy but ive always wanted a saleen and we my family and myself have owned both of them and the saleen was much better in my opinion but that camoro dont look to bad but its pricy

What I don't understand about chevy is that they are getting rid of the z06 corvette in 2005... what I do like though is that the entire car is 85% re designed from the last 5 years.... they are going to have 480 horsepower....

i love camaros always have and always will and i would be the first one to want them to bring it back but im sorry i dont believe that are going to bring it back just yet maybe by 2010 abd it will not be not 170g the thing that made the camaro a great car was the price of being under 30g

thank you... I was just getting ready to call this thread BS. Those pictures are photoshop pictures....digitally made on a computer. I've yet to hear ANY proof this car will be made. Please provide more facts or information.

I also dont see GM going with a 10 cylinder engine... no need for an extra two cylinders... just forced induction... much easier and less weight.

My sources come from my dealership, my managers, and General Motors... General Motors could not give me a price but have confirmed that the camaro will be produced... The price I was given was from my General Manger... 170k is only the projected price when in reality I bet it will be more comparatively priced like the Corvette...

that would be more realistic... priced UNDER the vette...if its as much as a vette, they will either loose vette owners or people will just buy a vette. It needs to be priced atleast $5k below a base vette... I also hope they publish numbers that are lower than the vette on paper, but at the local dyno, its another story. :devil:

My friend has a 99 z28 that will stomp a coverette. He paid only like $8500 or so for it, the guy that had it before him put only $27k total into it though. I'd say they should put the new vette engine in it and only charge $25k.

corvettes are a dime a dozen around here. in alot of places, people take the utmost care for thier vettes too b/c of thier uniqeness, around here, there driven in the rain, sleet and snow like they're pick ups.

Chevy also has a concept car sketch on their website... the car is called the ss... alot of the influence of this car are in the new camaro...
