2-stroke ban?

i was wonderin if anyone new anything about the rumor that 2-strokes are supposed to be banned

yea, thats what ive heard. thats why most all outboard engines are 4 stroke, also sleds, jetskis, weed wackers, quads are next, they smoke too much for the enviroment. wouldnt hurt my feelings at all that damn bean oil gives me a headache anyways.:devil: ed

they are banned for production over a certain limit if they cant reach new standards existing motor can still be run just like it is now just not made any more

you know there could be people who would say the exact opposite and could swear by polaris, if u take care of them, they run, i have friends who's polaris two strokes run great and there really old


i hate blasters, they are horrible :rolleyes:

and if i had the choice between a blaster and a gas gas, i would take the gas gas anyday

Gas Gas are nice, but fore the price I can modofy a quad to be faster than they are, and still cost less. The price is just rediculous. Just my $.02

I could care less about the Blasters and Polaris 2-strokes. I will miss the Banshee though, don't know if I will still have mine...

Didn't Bombardier make a ROTAX that meets the standards, so they can keep their 2-strokes? And supposedly it doesn't reduce power either...I know they make killer 2-stroke engines.

Banning two-stroke ATV's/ATC's will do very little if anything in regards to helping/protecting the environment.

There are literally hundreds of things that do more damage to the environment than ATV's/ATC's -

That's definately true, with the billions of cars/trucks/SUV's out there right now, banning two-strokes isn't even going to put a dent in the car door of pollution:o .
