Does anyone else make an advance key for the 400ex? I thought I saw a post with another brand one somewhere, but I can find it. I know it was the same price. I just want to see what one would be closer, so I can get it faster. Thanks for your help

I don't think anyone else makes one, but I do believe that the woodruf key from an xr400 is the same as a Sparks key (or vice-versa), and they only run $6-7 at any Honda shop. Can anyone confirm that?
I purchased the woodruff key from Sparks, it came wit a bolt that pops the flywheel off. This was not a real hard job, you will need to buy a new side cover gasket, my local Honda shop charged 15.00 for te gasket. I could tell some difference in the motor. No more power but the bike does rev quicker. I would say it is worth the time and money to do it.

jerry, how much was the key from sparks?
I believe the key was 15.00. This included the bolt they advertise as a flywheel puller. I also bought the rev kit from sparks I think it was 105.00. It sucked really bad, wouldn't start when motor was cold, I sent it back and received a full refund.

I just got the key from Sparks, I haven't put it in yet.
I was talking with some guys last night and they mentioned that it is not recommended for for a hopped up motor. Does any one know why? or what it would hurt?
