I don't think duct tape would work too well because the gas would eat away the stuff that makes the tape stick. It would eventually come off, probably during the race.

JBWeld sounds like a good solution.

Can you get it welded? Since it's made of plastic? Or are you just talking about melting the crack so it seals itself?

I'm sure someone will correct me but I believe the 300ex tank is metal.:confused:I would first check the pitcock and the fuel lines to the carb.If not then get it welded.

I didn't think they made sport model tanks out of metal...could be wrong, can someone correct us?

For some reason I was thinking it was metal. If it's plastic I don't think JB weld will hold.:(

Yes the gas tank on a 300ex is metal but im not sure if welding it would be real smart... at least make sure every last drop of gas is outa there before you even turn the welder on.

go to home depot,i picked up this stuff called J-B weld, works like a charm...just mix the two things toghter and apply....don't know how it will work on a tank but worth a try

EXCEL GUM, im serious, we were in my truck and hit a piece of a transport truck which somehow fell off infront of us which fell off we were 10 hours away from my house and we had a huge value pack of gum, so my cousin chewed it and i stuck it over the crack, and held until we pulled into the driveway, damn we were lucky
