ok, guys (or gals) can i convert a mpeg file (movie) to a file to play in most dvd players? i have dvd shink, alcohol 120% and nero 6. want is the name of files that play in dvd players ? vob?

I think that you are thinking .vcd! You can try Nero's .VCD option it will let you take .mpeg and such formats and make a .vcd some dont have the right coding though so you gotta recode em! I can get you the name of a free program that you can use to do that!

Most DVD players should be able to play mpeg files :D

Yes, create a VCD with NERO. I have used NERO and it works great. Not all DVD players play VCD's but most newer ones do. PS2 does not. Also, You can not just play a MPEG file on a CD in a DVD player, it will not work. The DVD player would have to have a program similar to windows media player in order to play the MPEG file. You have to encode your MPEG, AVI, etc... files to VCD. Hope this helps.
