Sounds like everyone agrees with me, and it won't cost you over 7k, not unless you get ripped off;) .

Now go out and get your R and enjoy!

yea but the 450r has no reverse or electric start, my 350x is already ike that, so id like those extra features.

Then go with a Z/KFX/DVX400. Sounds like the next best thing for you.

Does the V-Force have reverse? If it does you could go with that.

i like speed so would you guys consider the kfx/z 400 fast?

Go with the Kawasaki V-Force. It sounds like the right quad for you. It's a 700 V-Twin automatic, big, eletric start and reverse. I've never ridden one, but I've heard they are fast and they are most likely great for long open rides.

If that doesn't suit you, then go with the Z/KFX400/DVX400. They are somewhat faster than a 400EX, and with mods can be made to suit your need for speed.

Good luck with your decision.

The Kawasaki would be a much better choice than the 400EX for this guy. Don't start any flaming because it's not a Honda...I hate people who won't admit that there are companies that can be better than Honda at times.

I definately agree with the KFX/Z/DVX. They are great machines, and have the reverse he is looking for. My neighbor has a v force, and it is too damn big. Plus, it is auto which sucks. It feels like a 4x4, just faster. Just my $.02

400ex is a good quad for any type of riding. Not the fastest but still very good

It's an okay quad for any type of riding, but this guy is looking for reverse.

Go with the Suz/Kaw/AC 400's, they are definately what you are looking for.

I don't think he wanted a tank;) . haha..jk.

Don't go with a Raptor, way too top-heavy. Just go with the 400's, they will be just fine for you and the size is just perfect for everyone.

Full exhaust with a nice cam and high compression piston will wake it up. And if you want to, you can go with a 416 or 440 kit for it.

Do they have 416 kits for a Z? I haven't seen any Z's with a 416..

You may want to see what Honda has in store for the 400ex before you make a decision. They are supposed to release more info in September.

$400-500 for Exhaust
Maybe around $100-200 for big bore (with the cost of having a shop boring it out, piston kit is usually only about 100)
$200-300 for cam?

Look around at some sites, look for Sparks exhaust, JE 416 high-compression piston kit, and a Hotcam stage 2.
