Well, I'm looking to get some more power on my 400EX again. The only things I have that are for power is a Pro-Circuit Full Pipe, Twin Air filter, no airbox lid, and some jetting. I ride MX, and any gain I could get would help. I found a Lectron carb for $185 shipped. Are they good carbs? What kind of gains could I expect from running a lectron carb with my setup? Are they a lot of maitnence?

thanks

Lectron carbs add alot of mid to top but do sacrifice some on bottom. I used to run a 38mm lectron I got from TC with my motor kit but got rid of it to get my 39mm FCR after a while. They take a bit to get adjusted properly with the fuel metering rod since there are no jets, but once they are dialed in they work great. Since you ride MX that carb will work great for you, its just not popular among woods riders who use alot of bottom. The only other thing is that I heard they are succeptible to dirt, but I never had a problem with mine...

ok, well since my motor isn't built i KNOW it's going to kill my bottom end completely. But, how much of a punch will it give me, compared to a 11:1 416, and Hotcam stage 2?
