I went to the local dealer today and I was looking at the crf 50's. I was going to buy one but I hate to impulse buy so I made a deal with myself that I still want one tommorrow or the next day then I will get it. I know how fun these things are. My questions are how long does the fun last does it get boring after a while and how much money am I going to end up spending I see all the aftermarket products. So if you have one or used to let me know your experience.

they're crazy little things...i will probably get one pretty soon

they can take such a beating, and last forever (cause they're hondas) so i'd recommend picking up a used one. it will last and be a ton cheaper

i got one my god are they fun the best mods to get r suspension first imo but deff get some motor work to cuz the stock suspension will deff leave u hurtin after awhile n especially if u got more power n r hittin bigger jumps i learned that the other day but good luck with ur decision ull hve a blast with one

If you race they will be a blast...fun to ride trails and stuff with friends..

The first thing to get would be Handlebars and rise kit! Makes a HUGE difference! You'll love it.....there awesome!

there only fun if u can ride....

and buy new!! dont buy used because thinsg are sloppy and what not, just buy new, your gonan pay 800-900 for one used and u can buy new for 1200

I got a used 03' for 900 OTD, not bad? but I love the thing, so far I got a little riser for the stock bars, only 30 bucks compared to the $200+ bar kits! and I got the fast50's HD springs, and they are my favorite mod, It jumps so much nicer now! I ride by myself alot, and I haven't got bored yet! you can always find a new gap kinda like bmx!

i beat my 50 had the xr for a year it didnt cost me barely anything, there not as expensive as they sound, but it depends on what kind of riding u do, u can get away with stock on big jumps and stuff but racing u def need$$$ mods unless u race stock class

I think i am goin to get one this week and ride and race it a couple of times and sell it in the spring. They hold there value. I will get bars, big seat, tires, stiff springs and brace the frame. I don't want to spend to much money. But i have been watchin my firends ride and race it looks like a blast.
