I took a pretty bad spill Saturday. Flipped the quad and trew it about 20 feet, I landed about 10 feet from the stump I hit. I landed hard on my right side, cuasing a huge contusion/hemotoma on my right hip. A very mild concusion (yes I had a helmet on)and abrasions on my forearm and shoulder.
The bruise didnt begin to form until Sunday morning. Before that it was just a big bump about two inches high and half the size of the current bruise.
I havent taken the quad apart yet to estimate the damages yet but it dont look too good. The obvious things are a stem, plastics, headlight assembly, and headlight trim. I'll know more when I can get around better to clean it.

Kym, that happened at Tahuya, do you remember the area in the clearing with the trails across the road from the staging area? I was railin the trails in there in the top of third gear when that happened. The whole day was bad. My son (5) rode off on his own, got lost and it took us 45 minutes to find him. He stalled the quad on a trail 2 miles from camp. We got him back and everyone calmed down. Then he went out and rolled the Kasea over on himself, but hes fine. Then an hour later I go out and do that.

about 4 years ago that happend 2 me on a yz I was going down a big dirt rod like 60 and there was a turn and the rode was all lose with gravel and I lost contol and slidsideways and hit a ditch. I bent the forks, broke the front fender, bent the front wheel and broke a bunch of spokes. My thighs hit the handle bars and both of my thigh looked like that. I broke my wrist and could barely walk because of my legs and I had 2 walk back my bike bike 2 camp that was like 4 miles away.:eek2:

I had a bruise like that after I had surgery . It ran from just below my rib cage to half way down my leg and across my stomach . Hell even my " boys" were bruised . I looked like I was black .... well minus the extra 10 inches ;)
. Hope you heal up well man !!!

I had intestinal surgery back in march to remove scar tissue from a previous racing accident and previous surgeries . My stitches opened up one day in the hospital and I had a little bit of internal bleeding , so alot of the old blood gathered and bruised me basically from my rib cage down to my knees . At one point during my stay in the hospital ( which was close to a month) , the doctors had to insert 2 drain tubes into my stomach area to remove the old blood . Every days Id have to empty the bags cuz they were full with old blood . Was pretty sickening and scary ... especially when your " boys" are as black as coal !!!!

LOL it's funny to get the reactions when people see it. Just wait till I take another pic today. It has doubled is size:eek: The Doctor in the ER said it would get a lot bigger as it healed.

I took the quad apart yesterday after I washed it, it looks like is just a stem, and all the front plastics, including the headlight and trim. A new fuse, and brake line. Most of the damage I can live with, until I decide what plastics to go with.
