After market black box

I have the hrc kit and a carbon pro pipe and it hits the rev limiter to easily in 5. Should I get a after market black box or will the engine blow up to easily? Also who makes a good black box?

yep we are all waiting on that little black box every time I place an order with my distributor that will carry them I always ask when are you going to get it the answer is soon and that has been since march:grr: but I am first on the list to get a call :D

Magic Racing says they should have some in 1-2 weeks......and Santa Clause is hand delivering them. Sounds like the same problem you are having at C&D.

Any ideas if they cause the same cold start problems like on the 400ex?

this is the same brand of box that I run on my 416 and have never had any starting problems.

Some guy on ebay (Sledsales.com) had a few of them in stock and sold them really fast. But he should have some more in soon.

I had the magnum cdi box on my 400ex and I guess I got used to the extra rpm. I seem to hit the rev limiter on the 450r quite often....so Im getting one ASAP. BTW...I never had any cold start issues with the Magnum CDI but a buddy had the White Bros CDI (POS) and I waited on him all the time.
