Alot of people are running PEPs. Best value. It all depends how much you want to spend. TCS would be a step up from what you have. Also, you will see lots of ELKA's.

Go with TCS! That's what I upgraded to! great shocks, I think they are better than elka.

That's just about as good as it gets with the Houser/ custom axis. But will cost quite a lot!

I run a set of PEP limited MASS front shocks (I dont like the ZPS personally), and the rear converted by PEP to limited MASS specs to compliment my fronts... Total cost was 750 for the fronts and 450 to get the rear converted which aint too bad for top of the line shocks...

I wouldn't go with the plus 1 foward. For MX most people here would reccomend a +3+0. That's what I run on my quad.

Actually thats not entirely true. The front to rear weight distribution is almost spot on from the factory on the 400ex. If you build your motor up and add a +1.25 swingarm on the bike, it is beneficial to run +1 forward arms as well, as I am...

so without an extended swing arm..it wouldnt be so good to get one forward......the only problem is with +3+0 then i have to fork over more money to get the LT shocks too
