what to do with headlights.

I am going to remove the headlights on my 400 for mx and I want to do something about the hole. I have seen some folks with a metal plate in the hole. has anyone done this, if so post a pic. I would much appreciate it.

why dont you just buy some nacs headlight covers??

because i am going to remove the headlights completely, including the switch.

Well, maybe you could use one of those other kinds of covers for the hole. Instead of the Nacs covers, I know you can get some that are just a flat piece that goes accross the whole headlight hole. Doug Eichner used to use it on his old 440ex, and alot of the local guys around here run them. I cant say I know where to get them though, maybe duncan...

when i shaved my fenders i took the piece of plastic that was cut off and layed the headlight on it and trced them. cut it out and put it in. looks nice. just like what that guy said about the the flat piece they make except you dont gotta buy it. just a suggestion..

good idea. I can probably pick up a small piece of sheet metal and make one pretty cheap. Thanks

Hey.... I just made one my self for the frontend of my 400.... looks nice... I just got sheet metel, spary paint and it worked good.... but if you do alot of racing the paint chips real fast it seems like no matter how many times you paint it... Ill try to post a pic of mine on here.... so you can take a look at it and you can see how it chips... If you have any questions about it just drop me a line
