who does that carb mod to the stock carb i keep hearing about. how much is it? does it make a bigg difference. thanks alot

if your refering to having your carb overbored it works quite well when done properly and is much cheaper then buying a FCR or Edelbrock.

Yeah, its having your carb bored out to give more flow for a built motor. It is cheaper than an FCR. Edelbrock or Lectron and offers some similar performance gains (although not as good). Sparks does a great job on them, and Im not sure who els does it...

How much does boring a stock carb ussually run? If it's under $100, it would seem like it makes great sense to go with that.

A bored carb with the choke and all cut out is one of better cheap mod,even the suzuki 400 guys are using these with the ex intake boot .In TN we have a local shop do em for $75.00 but you should be able to have it done for less than $150.00.It's worth it unless you want to buy an FCR carb and really let her eat!We cut the very out lip off the snorkel when using this set up.
