very true!

Well, I may have had a setback... I was getting ready to put the carb on and it would be done. Well, I put the intake bolts in so I didn't lose them when we started... and I was just taking them out... do you see where this is going? Yep, dropped one, and I can't find it on the floor! I'm pissed, so I figured I'd better walk away before I start kicking the chit outta things...

Well danno, here's the latest... I just finished pulling the cylinder and fishing everything out of the crankcase. Everything you say? Yep... I was trying to use a magnet on the end of a small screwdriver to fish the bolt out... well, down the intake that fugger went. So now I know the cylinder has to come off... As I'm lifting it off, an indexing pin fell down in the crankcase... Now things are getting interesting... I grab a beer and a box of Cheezits for lunch... I grab a handfull of cheezits, droppping one, but grabbed it out of mid air with my other hand... where was that dexterity when I dropped the bolt in the intake? Anyways, pulled the cylinder, got the bolt and magnet, then used it to get the indexing pin out... I think all the debris is back out of the crankcase... So now I'll put everything back together, and hit some jumps tomorrow! And that folks is how I spend a holiday. Do I know how to have a good time, or what? :o

No, I think the third owner. I bought it about 6 years ago, it was completely stock. Only thing stock on it now is the frame, and I'm getting tired of fixing it. So I think I'll be getting an aftermarket frame soon. I had always wanted an LT, didn't ride for about 5 years and when I decided to get back in to it, I bought the LT and have never regretted it. I've always felt comfortable on it, and after having LRD work on the engine last year, the power is phenomenal! I always get blisters on my hands, and my arms feel a couple inches longer after riding it, but I have a big chit eatin grin on my face!

Its about time you get that time bomb ... I mean Suzuki running . ;) Hopefully she treats you well . Mine treated me well when I had it . Except that one time I needed to spend $2500 on a motor job . And then that one time I had to order my ignition coil out of the USofA and it cost me $120. And that one time I needed a ball joint and ordered it from the USofA and realized I could have went to the local parts store and picked one up off of some old jalopy car . And that one time ...... Notice the patern here ?????

Yes, I'm seeing a pattern there! I think the broken dog on the gear is the first problem I've had with it... other than it going through water pump seals a little too quickly. Other than that, it's been maintenance issues. It seized once at a race, but it was my fault.

I wish I had some old pics of my Suzuki . Had Laeger a-arms , Laeger swingarm , Dura axle , Beadlocks , Grooved radial fronts , Holeshot rears , Renthal bars , PD tether cord , Graydon nerfs , AC front bumper and about $3000 in motor wotk ... including LRD motor and pipe . Had the "race cut" and " freestyle cut" fenders on it . I loved that biem and wish I still had it . I had the bike for 3 weeks , was arcing a banshee down a frozen lake ... I had no studs and he was piped and fully studded and I was keeping up to him .... until I hit a patch of ice about 10 feet in length , over reved the motor and cracked my crank in 3 places and seized the top end ... Thats when LRD got my motor . I seen the quad for sale not too long ago on Ebay and it had made it's way down to New York somewhere and the guy said It was heading out west somewhere .

Nice LT!

There was a complete rolling chassis LT250R on eBay this past week, had the bottom half of the engine still in it, just needed a jug and top end and it'd run. VERY cheap, everything seemed to look clean on it...but it was local pick up only in Texas:( . I'd probably spend more gas driving down there than actually paying for the thing.

If I sell both my quads, I think what I'll be doing is finding a junker 250 and putting a few grand into it:D .
