300ex vs 450r

is the 450r that much better than a 300? im thinking about getting one. does anybody know the top speed of the 450? let me know your opinions

Well, the computer on my friends 450R says he topped it out at 74.8. I have ridden a 300EX for years, so I know how both run. His R is so sweet. There is no comparison in them. If you have the money get the R. If you want a nice bike with decent price, get a 400EX. That's what I plan to do this fall.

theres nothing to compare dude.. top speed is nothing.. ride a 450r, then you'll see the light son ;)

My wife rides the 300EX and I ride the 450R:devil:

OR 300EX=slow 450R=fast

How about 300ex=beginner 450r=expert

Truth they are both great quads and if you have lots of money
buy a 300ex and ride it until it gets slow to you, then buy a 400ex and do the same, and then you should be ready for the 450R :devil:

ive been riding for years and i already think the 300 is slow i bought it before the 450 came out because of the price but i wanted a few opinions before i decided to get one i put in for the honda credit today but they were closed ill find out on tuesday if i got it

Stock for stock, the 250R is somewhat like a 400EX. The 450R is alot faster, but remember, the 250R is a 2 stroke and I think it is safe to say that it has every bit as much potential or more to out power a 450R. The 250R will ever die, The thing has an awsome chassis and it has a very potent motor. A fully modded 250R on a $10,000 budjet would run right next to a 450R on the same budjet, if not outrun it. I still like the 450R personally, just because it will always have more torque. They are both amazing machines.

The 250r is a FAST BIKE however my 450r will wreck my 250r off the line but once we both hit 4th gear the 250r will leave the 450 like its standing still!! then again the 250r is geared for a so-so take off and tops out at 97 mph:eek2:

Im sure a 450r will eat a 250r with the same amount of $$ put into both of them.
