i put my 18x10x9 holeshot mxr4's on the back today. they work great but i cant tell the difference between my old mxr and the mxr4s. they were hooking up really good and slideing perfect. anybody know why the added the 4 onto the mxr?

the compound itself is stiffer. grab one of your new lugs and push it around, then push on the old mxrs. they will probably last much longer as well :p

Yeah, hopefully they will last longer, the original Holeshot MXR's lasted about as long as a dude with impotency... Thats why I just use the Razr MX's and love them...

I origanally had the first regular MX's that came out and they lasted along time. I purchased the new MX4's as well and am guessing ITP chose to change the compound somewhere between the MX's and MXR's since they werent lasting and it probably caught up to them. They advertise it being good for today's 450's and such. I like them and all but theres no magic inside of them or anything so I hope people out there dont fall for any hype or anything.

the magic is that they work just as well as the MXRs, but hold up even longer...where could you go wrong? I dont think I will ever run another tire unless I need tires and the holeshots arent in stock

yeah im with muff, i loved my mxr's and so far love my mxr4's. the only other tire i will ever run is grovved turf tammers in the rear but thats only for arenacross cuz its so hard packed, but for motocross its going to be mxr4 on the rear all the time.

I think Klaws hook up better :D i run holeshots, and my freind runs klaws on his Z400. His hooks up better than mine, but it could also be that his quad is different. Klaws will be my next tires when my holeshots die.

the facts are the mxr4 is a little differnt the knob it self has been stiffened at the base and in the middle of the knob in which help the knob not flex and the mxr4 has a new longer lasting rubber compound and does last a lot longer so every should be happy hooks up great and last long time l8r.

How much are the holeshot mxr4s? I love my mxrs but they wear out too fast.
