I raced a yfz with my 450r it has a 13t jt sprocket and hmf exhaust and the hrc cam in it and the yfz had a ESR pipe the cam mode and ESR filter and these kick *** paddles they were 8 pounds they were racing paddles. and he beat me by about 6 links or so i was very impressed on how it ran against him. It was in Walden Co. and im am also going to a 12t front:devil: :D

12 tooth is SUPER LOW. I dont even run a 14 and I am strickly dunes. Try a 39 rear with your 13.

Roughly one tooth in front = 3 in back.

With a 13/39 you would be:
1st - 32.9
2nd - 41.9
3rd - 51.1
4th - 60.8
5th - 70.7

With a 12/38 you would be:
1st - 31.1
2nd - 39.7
3rd - 48.4
4th - 57.6
5th - 67.0

Yeah, your results with the yfz were different from mine. A week before memorial weekend I was in silver lake(sparks cam, filter, jet kit, HRC endcap). I dragged several yfz with pipes(although I don't know what else was done, yoshi, fmf Q) and my results were that the start determined the winner. If I got a poor start and them a good they'd win or vice versa. Although I was running 8 paddle haulers and the yfz's were both running some molded angled paddles so the haulers probly gave me a edge.....

Were they straight, or were they angled like those garbage sand stars?

The 8 lbs paddles he's referring to I'm sure are skat-trak super lites. These are the tires that have been triple buffed. From what i hear they're very light, just not as durable.
