i was just thinking wouldnt shoks for +2/+1 arms work when you are putting on 400ex or 250r arms? or would you still have to relocate the mountsfor the upper shocs?
 :huh

I dont think that they would work out very well due to the fact that you are not using +2 arms and the stock 400 or 250r a-arms may or may not have mounting points farther out than the stock 300's. Do some measuring before you buy shocks.

i meant instead of having to move the shock mounts up so u can use 400ex or 250r shocs just use 300ex shocs for +2 300ex a arms. tahts what i meant.

They arent longer, they are just valved stiffer to compensate for the extra leverage. I think that is where you are confused. A 300ex shock would just lower your front end, and if it was for +2, it would be about right for valving, the 400ex has longer a-arms then a 300ex (frame is narrower on a 400ex in the front)
