We crashed our Deere tractor!

The intimidating ski slopes of the Wisp have struck again! GNCC Trail Boss Jeff Russell and his crew were out re-seeding the grass at the Wisp yesterday, and our beloved John Deere started sliding out of control. Jeff, the tractor, the trailer it was towing and the five men on the trailer, all went sliding down the hill until the the Deere hit a concrete post!

Luckily everyone was uninjured, but they were definately shaken up. Meanwhile, our tractor is going to need some repair work.

 :eek2: They have pics at the web site. Glad nobody was hurt.

yeah, just saw that. that's crazy. glad it seems no one was hurt. but a tractor sliding down a hill with a trailer and people on the back? that had to be scary...

guess the hills got them too!

yeah me too. glad i didn't flip over sideways. pretty top heavy with the cab.

definitely scary. no control over a very heavy piece of equipment.

wonder what the guys in the back were thinking!

You aren't the only one!!! My dad was on the trailer that hit the ski pole too! On his way home from the Wisp he called me and said that he had a near death experience!!! I freaked out!
He said they were reseeding the ski slope that the morning riders went up off the start and the tractor stopped chugging uphill and started sliding sideways the tractor jack-knifed and wrapped around a ski lift pole. Everyone was pretty shook up, but NO INJURIES.
Thank goodness!!!

probably had it wide open and trying to roost over the guys on the trailer...

that still had to be something else to be on that ride...

what do you do? bail or stay on the trailer?

No, they probably didn.'t have it wide open. THey prabably was trying to go up the hill slowly. So they peolpe could seed the hill.
